Turgo Turbine
The Turgo turbine is an impulse water turbine designed for high and medium head applications. Operational Turgo Turbines achieve efficiencies of about 87%. In this type of turbine, high speed jets of water emerge from the nozzles that surround the turbine. These nozzles are arranged, so the water jet will hit the buckets on one side at an angle of around 20°

Pelton Turbine
Pelton turbines are designed for high head applications. These machines are impulse turbines using the kinetic energy of water impinging on the runner bucket to turn the generator shaft. Pelton turbines can handle wide flow variations down to 10% of nominal flow. Their flat efficiency curves yield excellent performance over this wide operating range. Cross Flow Turbine
Cross-flow turbines are often constructed as two turbines of different capacity that share the same shaft. The turbine wheels are the same diameter, but different lengths to handle different volumes at the same pressure. Low operating costs are obtained with the turbine's relatively simple construction.
Improved Water Mill
The Improved Water Mill is a modified version of a traditional water mill. IWM is an intermediate technology that increases the efficiency of the traditional water mill resulting in increased energy output thus helping both the millers and its users. The improvement covers basically the replacement of wooden parts (rotor, shaft, and chute) with metallic parts. This increases its operational efficiency.
